Creative writing for adults

If you would like to get started writing creatively, but don't know how, why not try the ACT Writer's Centre workshop "Creative writing for adult beginners" with Lorese Vera.

Date: Sunday afternoons from 1 February - 5 April (10 sessions)
Time: 1pm-3pm

Cost for 20 hours of tuition: $300 ACT Writer's Centre members, $240 member concessions (and all early bird members bookings by Thursday 25 January), $350 non-members (which includes 1 year’s membership).

This workshop is designed for adults looking to build their confidence in creative writing. It will suit those who may write for work or other purposes but want to develop their creative writing skills, as well as those who possess the skills but have not written anything for years and need a ‘kick start’. Anyone who is interested in going into technical or further education in English or Writing will find this course a helpful refresher, and teachers of creative writing may gain some extra inspiration and ideasParticipants will be guided and encouraged step by step, and can expect to write several pieces of work during the course. Most importantly they will leave armed with techniques necessary to write independently.

Lorese Vera has a Diploma in Performing Arts, a BA English Literature and Philosophy (Honours), a Graduate Diploma of teaching, a Graduate Certificate in TESOL masters level and a Graduate Diploma in Professional (Creative Writing).
