Every Picture Tells a Story

Alison Low, 12, is a finalist in the 2010 ACT Human Rights Commission Annual Art Award for Every Picture Tells a Story (picture number DSC 0494)

Alison explains, I found it easier to illustrate this theme with a comic strip. My story has two friends painting together. At first they are dismayed when a blind elephant comes along and ruins their efforts. But in the end they realise that everyone would be happy to include the elephant and help him.

The finalists and winnners of the the ACT Human Rights Commission Annual Art Award are on display in the ACT Heritage Library, first floor of Woden Library, until 16 July.
