National Science Week 2010 @ Your Library

August 2010 brings us the 13th National Science Week:

For over ten years, we have been celebrating the contribution of Australian scientists to the world, encouraging interest in scientific pursuits and inspiring people to become fascinated by the world in which we live.
With ongoing support from the Australian Government and key industry bodies like Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) and the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), National Science Week continues to expand and now attracts a wide audience across all spectrums.
With scientific displays, theatrical events, debates and a myriad of science shows, National Science Week targets children to adults, science amateurs to professionals.

The Library has a number of events on during National Science Week including:
  • Science Fiction writing workshops for adults
  • Science Fiction writing workshop for young adults (ages 15 - 18)
  • An all-ages science show
  • Encounters with the Daleks from Doctor Who.

You can find out more and book for these events through our website or by calling 6205 9000.

And stay tuned to the blog for more National Science Week goodness!
