Across the Story Bridge: Children's Book Council of Australia Book Week 2010

Book Week is the longest running children's festival in Australia. This year marks Book Week's 65th birthday.
Each year, many schools and public libraries from all over Australia spend a week celebrating books and Australian authors and illustrators. Classroom teachers, teacher librarians and public librarians develop activities, offer competitions and tell stories relating to a theme to highlight the importance of reading
During Book Week visit the Library and be a part of:
  • Visits from children's authors, book reviewers and illustrators
  • Constable Kenny's Safety Awareness
  • Special story times
  • Find "Fearless" Literacy Treasure Hunt
  • Pick up a free activity booklet - while stocks last
