Ariette’s entertaining poetry writing style is strongly influenced by her previous career as an opera and concert singer. She has won Poetry Union and Wordjammin National Performance Poetry Competitions. Her work has been published in online literary journals, anthologies and recorded and broadcast on radio. Ariette has performed at Poetry Clubs, Blue Mountains International Music Festival (2006 and 2007), Music Clubs, National Poetry Week events and Slams.

Ariette Singer became a poet and music composer after slow recuperation from debilitating chronic illnesses, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis and Multi Chemical Sensitivities (ME/CFS and MCS), which kept her bed-ridden for several years.

Her poetry book, Emotionally Qualified! was published in 2008, and she is now working transforming her book into a script, for a planned stage production by The Street Theatre.
