COOL Awards Shortlist 2011

The shortlist is out! Which books did you nominate? And did students from across Australia agree with you? Find out below whether your favourite books made it into the list. You might recall that Feathers for Phoebe, one of the favourites in the picturebook category, was the title recently featured in National Simultaneous Storytime.
To save you a bit of time, there is just one title that made it to both lists: Toppling, written by Sally Murphy and illustrated by Rhian Nest James. Why such a difference? Well, for one thing, the COOL Awards ask you to nominate any Australian books you have enjoyed reading in the last year, while the Book of the Year nominations are limited to just those books published in 2010. So perhaps the Book of the Year Awards shortlist might help you discover some new favourites for 2011.
