Science Trail

Libraries ACT have created a Science Trail to highlight the science we use every day. Download the Science Trail now or drop into a branch between Saturday 13 - Sunday 21 August for a hardcopy (while stocks last) and visit Libraries ACT to discover how science is a part of the library.
The trail includes:
  • Science in fiction and fact
  • Wireless Internet
  • Radio Frequency technology
Most of the trail stops can be found at any library branch, however a couple are specific to certain branches. It’s up to you how you make use of the Science Trail.

Digital Dinosaurs

During National Science Week, augmented reality is bringing dinosaurs to back life! By using instructions to find the dinosaurs and downloading an app to your smart phone, you’ll be able to see these prehistoric creatures brought to life in the heart of Canberra. One of the dinosaurs, a Pteranodon, can be found very close to Civic Library. They’re only visiting Canberra for National Science Week, so start exploring now.
