In this year, the centenary of ANZAC, we honour the men and women of the district who served in World War I.

Today we remember Penistan James Patterson.

Served Australian Army from 14 August 1914.

Died 25 April 1915, Gallipoli, Turkey.

Previously cadet, Royal Military College, Duntroon 1911-1914 and was part of the guard of honour at the Canberra naming ceremony on 12 March 1913.


Commemorated on the ACT Memorial, online and opposite Civic Square on London Circuit.
