100 Hundred Years Ago - funeral of General Bridges

A significant event in Canberra’s early history as the national capital was the funeral of Sir William Throsby Bridges, who died of wounds received on Gallipoli and is the only known soldier killed in World War 1 whose body was returned to Australia for burial (on Mt. Pleasant).
