100 Hundred Years Ago

A war might be being fought, but everyday life had to continue. The farming community in the Weetangerra district was affected by the variable seasonal weather and, as their correspondent noted (with some irony), the authorities had fixed their road just in time for the exodus of families leaving the district because of land resumptions.
